High precision data production and integration: the “next generation step” in immunohistochemistry
The aim of this seminar is to provide insights into the most recent achievements and future developments of diagnostic immunohistochemistry. The faculty will address the pre-analytical aspects of biospecimen preservation as well as the most recent multiplexing methods to evaluate molecular targets in tissue sections. The seminar will also focus on the impact of new ICT technologies in the evaluation of biomarker expression. The last session of the seminar will provide an exhaustive overview of the most recent biomarkers which should be included in routine diagnostics in some of the most relevant fields of surgical pathology. The target of the course is general surgical pathologists, biologists and technicians.
